Fancy Dress For Charity Runs
It’s that time of year when we can further support our favourite charities by running, dressing up or doing anything we can to raise lots of lovely cash for them. Some of us here are super-fit and love the marathons, while the rest of us just love the midnight walks or shorter fun runs.
Most of us will take the opportunity to dress up, or at least wear something outrageous, so we’ve put together a few ideas for your fancy dress costume. We’re sure the veterans will have this down to a fine art, but we hope to give the novices a few pointers.
Hawaiian luau – Aloha. Who can resist the grass skirts and leis? You can wear these on a warm summer day or in winter over warm T shirt and leggings.
Pink– We are all agreed, anything pink is lovely and girly. There are wigs, ears, leg warmers, pom poms, boas and a ‘researching the cure’ banner.
70s fancy dress – Have fun while you run. 70s hippie dresses are cool and hip, bright, bold and beautiful, and they fit right in with the days objectives. Check out our 70s selection in the group category, to kit your whole team out with 70’s gear.
Nuns and monks – Good girls, and bad, look great dressed as a sexy nun. This short black dress comes with the nun’s headpiece and looks fearless with a pair of fishnet stockings. There’s a men’s monk outfit which teams with it nicely, to make a playful couples costume.
Hen night – Yes, we know this isn’t your hen night, but there are some gorgeous sexy outfits in both the group and sexy section that we think you will find ideal for a run. Cupid, Naughty nurses, bumble bees and a Goddess Venus are a few of the delicious offerings. Cool and easy to wear you will certainly turn an eye or two.
There is always something you can do to join in the fun and help out, and if you can’t join in the event, you can go behind the scenes and help with the organising.
