There’s lots of choice in Christmas fancy dress, so if you’re looking for a Santa suit, elf costume or Christmas fairy costume, you’ll be spoilt for choice. And if you’ve been invited to a New Year’s Eve fancy dress party, you’ve got a great range of costumes to look at.
Where would Santa be without his elves? A great Christmas couple fancy dress costume is a Santa suit and elf outfit. If you’re going as a family, get the kids to dress up as little elves and fairies, and get mum to go as Santa. Dad can join the elves with an adult elf costume. Or make your own elf fancy dress, with a pair of green and red stripey tights, one of mum’s green tunics and an elf hat.
It’s probably more cost effective to buy a Santa outfit than to create your own. You can attach the shapes with safety pins, iron on fabric, or sew them on by hand. Wear green or brown tights and brown shoes. You can pick up some cheap flashing earrings, or badges, to give it a finishing touch.
