Finally the summer has arrived, no more cold nights and dark mornings! The sun has come out and its warm and fresh, there is a delicious smell of cut grass everywhere you go, and there is an element of excitement in the air. Summertime is always a heavy party time, especially fancy dress parties, and because the weather is a lot warmer there is a whole new range of costume ideas to choose from. There isn’t one main fancy dress theme for summer parties at the moment as there is no main holiday like you have with Halloween and Christmas, but it would be great if the costume you chose had a summery theme to it to really get the summer feeling going plus it can’t be very comfortable wearing a huge Sumo wrestler costume in the 30 degree heat!

Women’s Summer Fancy Dress Ideas – with the weather being warmer you can go for a little dress outfit, strappy tops and skirts that would normally be too cold in the winter months. Men’s Summer Fancy Dress Ideas – keep your cool in the Caesar style toga outfit, perfect for those hot and stuffy summer fancy dress parties. A great thing about this outfit is you usually have everything you need for the costume, most people have a pair of sandals or flip flops, and you can easily make a head piece from a few leaves, then all you have to get is the toga. Gladiator READY! Those gladiator really didn’t wear that much back in the day which is perfect to show off your bod and to keep cool. The Roman Gladiator style costume consists of collar and kilt with shoulder strap, and you get to carry around a sword, even better.
