Flower Power hippies, Glam Rock Stars and groovy swinger costumes make perfect 60’s and 70’s adult fancy dress costumes. Ladies clothes are patterned, short, and sleeves are bell shaped and flowing. Men’s fancy dress includes bell bottom trousers, tunic shirts, and there are some cool Accessories such as John Lennon style glasses and afro wigs. Men and women can wear flower power head bands and funky afro, or curly, wigs.

Gold medallions are ideal, the bigger the better. All Adult Fancy Dress costumes can benefit from an accessory or two, but in the 60’s and 70’s you can really go to town.
Tunics in psychedelic colours and floral patterns are perfect 60’s and 70’s wear. Team them up with a pair of bell bottoms and you’ve got the start of a great costume. The supercool Hippy costumes include man- made lightweight pants, and tunic tops in bold swirling patterns. Blouson shirts with drawstring fasteners can be worn under open waistcoats; lots of men’s tops from this era had no buttons, but were open necked with shoe lace drawstrings.
Ladies can wear flowery short dresses with long plastic boots, or psychedelic pants suits identical to the men’s. Fringed handbags and long straight hair complete the look. Make up is really fun to wear, with any bold colours in fashion. Over the top eye shadows and shimmering lips will complement your costume.
