The French President announced today that France will be bringing in a "Robin Hood" tax on financial transactions. He said on TV that the 0.1% tax would come into effect in August.
The British Prime Minsiter, David Cameron, has previously described such a tax as madness. The difference in opinion on this can be down to the fact that London is the major hub for financial transactions within Europe and hence would be hit hardest by any tax which caused players to leave the city.
So if you’re having a party in the next few weeks, make it a bankers fancy dress party and theme your night.
Guests can display their side in the argument by dressing up in some of the great Robin Hood and Maid Marion costumes, if you are on the French side, or the Sherriff of Nottingham if you take the British stance. Get armed as a medieval knight if you want to take it even further and have knights fighting it out on each side!
We have a great range of alluring costumes too, so if Maid Marion is a little too maid, switch to a skimpy Ladies archer costume or outlaw costume instead, the fever range really does increase the temperature.
Open up the theme to include French / British costumes and now you can have some excellent photos of Robin Hood with a French Sailor and French Maid. Mix the party up with lots of games and music and by the end of the evening your guests won’t even care about the economic climate outside.
