80’s fancy dress - Glam girl outfit
This is a great outfit to wear; spotted top and netted skirt with brightly coloured tights. Yellow fingerless net gloves and hair as bold as you dare to go. Use the spray on hair dye in pink, blue or bright red or a combination of all three. Make sure it’s the washable kind!!
Finish it off with vivid blue or red shoes. Eye make up needs to be heavy and striking. Choose what suits you best, greens or blues. Accented cheekbones, heavy eye makeup and bold coloured lips adds the finishing touches to this glamorous 80’s fancy dress outfit.
80’s fancy dress - Madonna Material girl outfit
A long black dress with halter neck. Madonna made the bustier fashionable and it pulls in your waist to show off your assets! Wear a blonde wavy wig and tie a black bow round your head. Before you buy some new ribbon, rummage through your grandma’s sewing kit to see if she has any reels of wide black ribbon. If you find some, ask her if you can use it for your outfit. Wear black tights or stockings and a pair of black ankle boots. The fingerless gloves are well worth wearing; they complete the outfit and were one of Madonna’s favourites.
Madonna made beauty spots fashionable, so this is a perfect opportunity to wear one if you haven’t a natural one of your own. Finish off with a bright red lipstick.
80’s fancy dress - Funky Star 80s Costume
Similar to the glam girl outfit but the colour is toned down to an almost Goth appearance. It’s a black tank top with over blouse and a net skirt worn over knee length tight trousers.
Hair should be bold and colourful. If you’ve got short hair then buy a long coloured wig, there are plenty of 80’s wigs to choose from. Florescent purple would complete this outfit but any colour will look fantastic as long as it’s bold and vibrant! If you have long hair then invest in a can of spray on hair dye and experiment!
Finish off the outfit with black ankle boots and short socks. Wear plenty bold jewellery with dangly earrings and plenty of beads.
