Easy Fancy Dress From The Movies

While it’s great to dress up in elaborate costumes or an animal suit, sometimes you are looking for something more subtle. Easy fancy dress ideas can most easily be found by looking at the movies. Any memorable lead character is essentially a fancy dress option and often you can have most, if not all, of the outfit already in your wardrobe. Choosing a memorable scene or moment in the film can also increase the costumes credibility.

For example Danny from grease is a great easy costume to put together, jeans and a white t-shirt is a great start. You can add the famous T-Birds jacket and you are set to go. His last scene all-in-black outfit is also easy to replicate. Antonio Banderas often wears an all black outfit, and by just adding an accessory, like a bandana or guitar case, you can be transformed into character.

Ladies too can take inspiration from the movies, Linda Hamilton’s famous Sarah Connor character from Terminator gives us some easy costumes, add big shades and a toy gun for more authenticity.

First take a quick look through your wardrobe and then browse images from your favourite movies. You can be as subtle as you like, but bonus points for re-creating the character from legondary scenes. Be comfortable and enjoy the party.
